Reserve Your Standard Taxi Now & Join Our Groundbreaking Team |
The response to our Reservation Program has been fantastic. We have received responses from all over the U.S. and Canada, including New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Houston, Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis, and Toronto and Calgary Canada – just to name a few.
Customer Focus: Simon Abitbol of PHL Taxi of Philadelphia was one of the first operators to reserve the Standard Taxi. Mr. Abitbol has been in the transportation industry for over 30 year operating fleets in New York City and Philadelphia, and he has developed a keen sense for what it takes to be a transportation leader. In April, Mr. Abitbol drove from Philadelphia to personally see the Standard Taxi at the New York Auto Show and he reserved vehicles on the spot. To commemorate his reservation of 200 vehicles, the Standard Taxi made a stop in Philadelphia. A press conference was held with taxi officials and city leaders to announce Mr. Abitbol's Standard Taxi program and to demonstrate his commitment to improving Philadelphia's overall transportation system. Click here to see a few pictures and to read all about it. Just like Mr. Abitbol and his son Everett, you too can be an industry leader and superstar in your market by reserving your Standard Taxis today. |

Up on a Lift at the TLPA Spring Convention & a Visit to MTA Maryland's HQ |
|
The Standard Taxi made an appearance at the TLPA Spring Conference which took place on May 3, 4, and 5 in Baltimore, MD. With approximately 200 taxi and paratransit operators in attendance, the conference provided an exclusive setting for conference attendees to examine the Standard Taxi on a first-hand basis. Our vehicle was viewed on Saturday, May 5, as part of the tour of host Veolia Transportation’s Yellow Cab facilities. Click here to see a few pictures.
Our team would like to extend a special thanks to Veolia Transport on Demand, Mark Joseph, Dwight Kines, and the rest of the Veolia team who were kind enough to store the Standard Taxi at their facilities. In addition, a vehicle hydraulic lift was provided for our vehicle. For the first time in history, TLPA attendees had the opportunity to see the Standard Taxi's undercarriage. One of our engineers was also present to answer technical questions and to obtain input from those in attendance.
While we were in Baltimore, we made a special bonus visit to the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Offices. Thomas Curtis and Lawrence Hawkins Jr. coordinated the Standard Taxi's appearance at the MTA Paratransit Meeting on May 3rd. Several MTA VIP’s were in attendance such as Lauren Skiver - Director of Mobility, Frank White - Mobility Maintenance Supervisor, Ronald Jones - Manager of Special Service, and Frank Allison - Chief Bus Supervisor. With a focus on function and fleet maintenance and management, the Standard Taxi can be used in many applications including perhaps as a utility vehicle for the Bus Supervision Team.
All in all, Baltimore was a success and the Standard Taxi left a lasting impression on everyone who had the opportunity to see it.

PACE, Chicago's Paratransit Provider, Gets an Up Close Look a the Standard Taxi |
On May 9, 2007, the Standard Taxi made a special appearance at PACE's Executive Board of Director's meeting. PACE is Chicagoland's Public Paratransit Provider and the 6th Largest Paratransit Agency in the U.S. This was a great opportunity for PACE's top executives to see the Standard Taxi in person. Click here to see a few pictures. Special thanks to PACE’s T.J. Ross for inviting us to the meeting.
As a bonus, while we were there, PACE held its “Million Milers Award Ceremony”. This event acknowledges drivers who have been PACE drivers for more than 1 million miles! Before the ceremony began, some of the Million Mile Drivers sat in the Standard Taxi’s driver’s seat and examined the vehicle in detail. All of the drivers were impressed by the ergonomic design of the driver’s s “office” in the Standard Taxi. If the Standard Taxi can impress these men and women – even some 2 million mile drivers – then we must be on the right road. |
