In order to become a driver, you must first obtain a valid chauffeur’s license from the Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA). Click on Driver Information, to go over the details.

Once you get your chauffeur’s license, you should contact PHL Taxi, to join our organization. Ask about the incentives that PHL offers to new members. Every year, you will be required to attend a Drivers’ Workshop. PHL also offers the Gold Seal Driver, a program designed to promote high quality service.
